1. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to serve you:

• Account & contact details: name, mobile number, email, and (optionally) date of birth.
• Shipping & billing addresses you save in your account or enter at checkout.
• Order & transaction history — what you bought, when, and the order status.
• Communication you initiate: contact-form submissions, exchange requests, bridal appointment requests.
• Technical data: browser type, IP address, device, and pages visited, captured via essential cookies and basic analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To process and deliver your orders, and to send transactional updates (order confirmation, dispatch, delivery).
• To authenticate you securely via mobile OTP and to maintain your account.
• To respond to your enquiries, exchange requests, and bridal-appointment bookings.
• To improve site performance, fix bugs, and make better merchandising decisions (aggregate analytics only).
• If you opt in, to send you occasional newsletters about new collections and curated stories.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing.

3. Cookies

We use first-party cookies that are essential to operate the cart, keep you signed in, and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but core functionality (cart, checkout, login) will not work without them.

4. Sharing With Service Providers

We share the minimum necessary data with trusted partners who help us run the store:

• Courier & logistics partners — to ship your order (name, address, phone).
• OTP & SMS provider — to deliver one-time login codes and order updates.
• Hosting & database provider — to store your account and order data securely.

Each of these partners is bound by confidentiality and uses your data only to perform the service.

5. Payment Information

All online payment transactions are processed through PCI-DSS-compliant gateways. Card numbers, CVV, and net-banking credentials are never stored on our servers. (At present we accept Cash on Delivery; online payments are coming soon.)

6. Data Retention

We keep your account and order history as long as your account is active so you can view past orders and receive support. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see "Your Rights" below). We may retain limited records (e.g. invoices) for as long as required by Indian tax and accounting law.

7. Your Rights

You can:

• Access or update your profile information from My Account.
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in any newsletter, or by writing to us.
• Request deletion of your account and personal data — email us and we'll process within 30 days.
• Raise a grievance about how your data has been handled.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS) for all data in transit, hashed passwords/OTPs, and limited internal access to personal data. While no system is perfect, we work continuously to keep your information safe and will notify you promptly if a breach is confirmed.

9. Children's Privacy

Ethnca is intended for adult customers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our services or in law. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
